This new facility is aimed at expanding the research and knowledge capabilities of the materials centre’s technology department.

Description

The research and development Spanish centre, specialised in surface treatment for aeronautic sector and others, is interested in the acquisition of an installation to produce coatings by thermal projection with researching objective. 



Its research and development team is involved in a continuous open-innovation process in order to accrue enough expertise and capacities to overcome any challenging research project for industry offering 3 high-tech and excellent research areas:

3.	innovation in products (processes and manufacturing technologies)



The materials technology department is interested in the installation to produce coatings by thermal projection (thermal spray) with a research objective. The data obtained from the work carried out in the installation will be used in different research projects, mainly in the area of aeronautic sector. 



The installation must be composed by: atmospheric plasma projection system (APS), high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) projection system, thread flame (FS-W) projection system and soundproof cabin with extractor and filter. Besides, the installation must have the capacity to work with pieces of 1000 kg of weigh.



The centre is interested in commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Expertise sought

The materials centre’s technology department is interested in the acquisition of an installation to produce coatings by thermal projection for aeronautic sector. The installation must fixed these maximum capacities and dimensions of piece: weight 1000 kg, outer diameter 1200 mm, maximum height for external projections 800 mm and 400 mm for interiors.

1.- Atmospheric plasma projection system (APS) composed of:

                 1.1.- External pistols.

                 1.2.- Interior pistol.

                 1.3.- Controller and peripherals.

2.- High velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) projection system composed of:

                 2.1.- External pistol.

                 2.2.- Controller and peripherals.

3.- Thread flame projection system (FS-W) composed of:

                 3.1.-Pistol

                 3.2.- Controller and peripherals.

4.- Rotary table with 0-90 tilt and indexable satellites.

5.- Robot suitable for points 1 4 and the exposed capacities.

6.- Soundproof cabin with extractor and filter. Indicative dimensions 4x3x3 m "



The installation has a research objective, so the versatility of the installation and the ability to measure and control process parameters for the development of research projects will be valued.
