On-board system for intensification of the process of liquid fuel combustion

Summary

A Ukrainian SME offers a system for intensification of the process of liquid fuel combustion. They propose to place on the vehicle an ozonizer getting electricity from the on-board power system and supplying the ozone-air mixture to the air, used for combustion of fuel or to the fuel itself. This makes it possible to increase fuel octane number of by 8 -15 units and save fuel up to 11%. The SME is seeking partners for joint development in form of research cooperation agreement.

Description

Ukrainian SME is founded by researchers who have many years of experience in intensification of the process of combustion various types of liquid fuels. They collaborate with the leading technical university of Ukraine and have the opportunity to use the equipment of the university laboratories. 
Increasing the octane number of fuel is one of the key tasks to increase the energy efficiency of the fuel combustion process.
The SME offers joint project to achieve the following objectives:  
1. Industrial production of the on-board system for intensification of the processes of fuel burning in internal combustion engines;
2. Arrangement of production and introduction of these systems by car manufacturers of the EU countries;
3. Limitation of the content of toxic components in the exhaust gases of vehicles.
It is planned to use the project results of the Ozone Research method of suppressing toxic compounds formation during combustion of liquid fuel hydrocarbons. Change of oxidizing ability of the air, supplied to the reaction zone, leads to the increase of the number of oxygen-containing radicals, their uniform distribution in fuel-air mixture, which facilitates the chemical preparation of the fuel to inflammation and intensifies combustion processes.
For this purpose, it is proposed to place on board of the vehicle the ozonizer getting electricity from the on-board power system and will supply the ozone-air mixture to the air, used for combustion of fuel, or to the fuel itself.
This leads to the synthesis of high-octane oxygen-containing compounds in the fuel volume and will make it possible to increase the octane number of fuel by 8 -15 units. The content of toxic components in the exhaust gases does not exceed the required limits. Saving of fuel is up to 11%.
The SME is seeking partners from universities, research organizations or laboratories dealing with the problems of improving the operation of internal combustion engines and the problems of efficient use of fuel. The preferred form of cooperation is a research cooperation agreement.

- reduction of fuel consumption (up to 11%),
- increase of octane rating of fuel (by 8-15 units),
- reduced toxicity of burnt gases (up to 80%) in terms of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide (II), hydrocarbons, soot, aldehydes.
Technical advantages:
- does not require significant changes in the design of the engine;
- ozone may be obtained and used directly on board of the vehicle;
- design of the system is quite simple, reliable in operation and has a low-cost price.

- Producing of special ceramic for the electrode-hydrogen furnace;
- Manufacture of ceramic or glass-lined automobile ozonators;
- Creation of electrical equipment;
- Creating electronic equipment.
