Description

A well-known Slovakian company has developed and manufactured a new low-pressure casting technology. Low-pressure die casting technology is particularly in place when it comes to the production of large sizeable castings when special emphasis is put on dimensions and weight of the castings, as well as on the oil-proof or water-proof qualities. With this low-pressure casting technology the company is able to produce aluminium castings up to 1.2 m in diameter and up to 100 kg in weight. Their mould machines can be connected up to six pulls. They also provide heat treatment and impregnation of the castings.

This technology is especially suitable for production of large series of castings as it provides considerable economies of scale.

The production includes casting presses with locking forces within the range from 100 to 1600 tons, which enable production of castings weighing a few grams up to 30 kg. 

The products manufactured by low-pressure casting technology are mostly clutch housing, gear housing, steering gear, oil pump, circulatory wheel, gas metre cover, lamp body, bearing housing, drum pulley, drum holder etc.
