Description

A Polish start-up operating in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning branch is working on an innovative solution for monitoring and control of industrial refrigerating systems. 

The client is looking for universities and R&D institutions interested in cooperation in research and development works concerning a remote monitoring system for refrigerating equipment, as well as distributors in the air conditioning branch (industrial cooling and refrigeration) interested in testing and implementing the offered innovative solution on the market. Investors willing to provide additional funding are also welcome.

The developed technical solution consists in real-time monitoring of refrigerating equipment operating with refrigerating mediums that are hazardous for the environment. Such substances contribute to global warming, and in case of leakage, generate costs (fines) for the operator.

The developed system will consist of an innovative control module mounted on the refrigerating device and a connected web application. It will support and monitor the operation of refrigerating equipment, gathering data and sending those data to a cloud database. The application will help managing the refrigerating equipment by analysing all parameters of individual devices and scheduling all required maintenance works. Dedicated calculation algorithms will allow the user to receive alerts concerning the status of the equipment on a mobile device. If any anomaly is detected, the system will send an alert to a predefined user. There will be two types of users: service company (3 levels) and device owner. Users will be assigned to particular sites and will be able to access various data concerning the status of the device and the alerts, according to the level of authorisation. Higher level users will be able to access reports. If any failure occurs, service personnel will be able to enter the details of the repair, including the volume of medium refilled.

The system will be based on the plug&play solution to enable quick installation and application in almost every low to medium efficiency refrigerating system (including refrigerated vehicles). Individual solutions are envisaged for extensive refrigerating systems.

The offered system is a simple solution that can be primarily applied by many clients from the agrofood sector. Currently the system is being tested by a meat producer from Poland, but further testing is required to improve the solution and make use of all features that it may offer.
