Gas turbine combustor nozzle inspection package

Country of Origin: South Korea
Reference Number: TOKR20171102003
Publication Date: 2 November 2017

Summary

A Korean research institute has developed a gas turbine combustor nozzle inspection package. The technology not only inspects the injection of fuel but also cleanness of the inner part of the gas turbine. The institute is looking for license agreement, commercial agreement with technical assistance, Technical cooperation agreement, Financial agreement.

Description

The Korean research is engaged in the research and technology development, overseas business, investment or appearance, many others on the business of electric power resources according to the purpose of the establishment.

A gas turbine consists of a compressor, a combustor, and a turbine. The present invention is related to a packaged gas turbine fuel nozzle integrity evaluation device that uses the latest sensor in diagnosing whether or not fuel is uniformly injected through the combustor, the key part of the gas turbine, and for cleaning, when necessary, to remove foreign matter from the nozzle’s internal flow path.

The purpose of this invention is to increase the reliability and the output of the entire gas turbine facility by evaluating the degree of combustion instability based on the variation of the fuel distribution of the combustor, and by stabilizing the combustion state of the gas turbine.

The technology achieves a one-step configuration from nozzle diagnosis to cleaning and the integration of the device
(existing technology enables the diagnosis only)

The institute is open to various types of collaboration. The technology is ready to be adapted to industry and commercialization. They are looking for potential partners for a license agreement, commercial agreement with technical assistance, technical cooperation agreement, and financial agreement.

Advantages and Innovations

- Uses the latest high-precision piezoelectric sensor to measure the fluid injection pressure on the nozzle hole, thus improving accuracy.

- Enables the simultaneous measurement of a large number of target measurement parts and the analysis on the deviation to improve the speed of the nozzle integrity evaluation
