Description

An Italian start-up offers an e-learning suite designed to facilitate the social inclusion of citizens and funded by EU FI-WARE / FI-ADOPT program. It allows the production of interactive content for mobile devices without specific ICT skill thanks to its WYSWYG Html5 multi-language authoring tool. 



The same lesson can be enjoyed in different languages, in terms of text and voice, based on the languages implemented during the development phase. The tool allows the developers to automatically convert the written text into synthetic audio files and to automatically translate the content of the text boxes. 

A “language flag” can be selected by the student in order to play the lesson in the target language.

 

With just a drag and drop, you can assemble and sync all the media you want and easily create any kind of test, feeding your lessons to classes and automatically collect the performance of each student. Advanced Htm5 script interface is available for expert e-learning producers in order to implement enhanced, customized features.



The product integrates an open source LMS (learning management system) for classroom management, lesson planning and student assessment. Students can complete the lessons on any mobile device or PC thanks to the Mobile Player supplied with the product and available in the most common app store. It ensures student traceability even without internet connection. Its look & feel can be also easily customized to create Mobile Players with the customers’ colors and logos.



The “Common Store” of shared contents enables collaboration for contents creation between teachers or between students. The product make easy to organize community for topics, languages, types of expertise or interest.



An “integrated e-shop” allows selling, or providing by free, lessons as well as whole courseware.



The partner can use the product to set-up its own e-leaning environment avoiding any trouble shouting related to the ICT infrastructure, focusing on content production and distribution to its customers.



Because it was designed in the FI-WARE world the product can be easily integrated with all software belonging to that ecosystem.



The company is looking for partners in order to provide the expertise and technical support to design and develop new e-learning courseware or update existing contents for mobile fruition, to investigate and develop new features and methodologies with focus on Digital Natives training and to investigate potentiality of integration to create innovative solution in healthcare, school and industry.

Advantages and Innovations

The product aims to be a new and complete ecosystem to design, distribute, play and track fruition of e-learning contents on any mobile device in healthcare, industry and school sectors.



The product allows the authors to produce native, multi language Html5 e-learning contents without requiring any specific ITC skill. Automatic translation and “text to speech” features are available to allow development of multi language lessons to facilitate the social inclusion of different tongue people or share easily the contents to different markets.

The contents produced can be shared with other authors (teachers or students) in the product’s “common store”: the cooperation environment stimulating the multi language, multi subject, international cooperation.



Thanks to the product’s Mobile Player the e-learning artefacts can be enjoyed on any mobile devices as well as on any PC. The Mobile Player allows keeping track of remote students’ activities even when not connected to the net.



Due to its powerful authoring system joined to the remote tracking feature the product is eligible to provide new and disruptive healthcare services. Rehabilitators are able to easily create customized interactive exercises in accordance to a specific disease, which can be assigned to patients via mobile applications.  Remote rehabilitation service can be put in place to monitor patients at home in their daily rehabilitation tasks. The rehabilitators tracks the capability to perform such exercises and, in case of need, update them remotely to meet a better rehabilitation path in accordance with the patient progress.



An easy to use e-shop offers a powerful, wide sell channel to make revenues by produced lessons sold to the product’s international users community.



The product aims to contribute to develop a novel community of courseware authors, teachers and “users” who can stimulate the possibility to give life to new skills and professionalism.
