Description
In combined sewer networks, overflows usually occur when the storm- and wastewater in the drainage network exceeds the maximum storage capacity of the drainage channels, storm water retention tanks, and wastewater treatment plants, leading to serious pollution in the receiving water bodies.
A German company that has 40 years of experience in the water industry considered this issue from a holistic approach. As an industry 4.0 technology leader in the water industry, they developed a networking solution for effective combined sewer overflow management. A horizontal screen is a key smart machine in this network. The horizontal bars are bullet shaped. This design leads to a reduction of hydraulic loss.
