Description

The Brussels-based membership organisation founded in 2000 brings together 16 national charity organisations active in medical services and first aid, social care, international aid, disaster relief and youth work. As a European-wide network of national charity organisations, they have extensive experience in activities such as awareness raising, communication and dissemination, and networking. They are also involved in the collection of data for research, have experience leading work packages, and can involve their members active in field work in support roles or as consortium members. The member organisations, which are operational organisations working on the ground, teach first aid to the public, run ambulance services, manage hospitals and retirement homes, care for the elderly and for handicapped people, lead civil protection activities. Their expertise in all these fields can be used for collaborative projects.

The organisation is looking for a research cooperation agreement in order to join an existing consortium.

The organisation would also be open to discuss participation in other open Security calls such as SU-DRS01-2018-2019-2020, SU-DRS03-2018-2019-2020 or SU-INFRA01-2018-2019-2020 depending on the topic and the profile sought.

Advantages and Innovations

The Brussels-based membership organisation is in a privileged position of having access to members specialized in areas useful to current security calls such as first aid, social care, disaster relief and international aid. They are able to mobilize their network in their projects. They are currently looking to participate in a Secure Societies project with their expertise in security themed European projects and their network of charity organisations directly involved in field work related to open Horizon 2020 SC7 call topics.
