Summary

An Austrian SME has developed a prototype of a kitchenware to grow all desired vegetables, herbs and microgreens in domestic kitchens. Within this box all environmental parameters relevant for optimal, fast and reliable plant growth are controlled automatically without any need of maintenance. For installation of the patented system solely one power plug is necessary. Partners are sought for commercial agreements with technical assistance, license agreements and technical cooperation agreements.

Description

An Austrian SME developed the worldwide first fully automated and autonomous kitchenware for modern kitchen to grow all desired microgreens, herbs and vegetables fast, reliable and without restrictions. The box can be manufactured in standard kitchen sizes comparable to a kitchen range or a fridge. In this box a micro climate is generated to provide perfect conditions for various plants to grow fast and reliable. The box is controlling parameters as light intensity, spectra and duration, temperature, humidity and CO2 concentration automatically to provide perfect conditions without having any effort. Up to now very limited number of such kind of kitchenware is available on the market worldwide and those which exist do have essential disadvantages in comparison to this kitchenware.

For installation of the patented system solely one power plug is necessary. All other comparable systems known do need active aeration, water and wastewater connections, tubes, tanks, pumps or similar causing hygienic and maintenance issues. These issues have been overcome by the design of a nearly closed system. Automatic watering is done while evapotranspirated water is condensed and re-feeded into the system. Artificial lightning by LEDs enables ideal photosynthetic activity and CO2 that is consumed by plants is added artificially. Therefore CO2 bottles are plugged on the box comparable to soda-stream bottles. All parameters are measured and regulated automatically without any need of measures to be done by the operator. Solely the CO2 bottles have to be replaced every few months.

The aim is to make it as easy as possible for customers to handle the growth of various herbs and plants. Therefore all needed goods as (just add water) seed pads, plant trays, seeds, substrates and CO2 bottles can be provided by the Austrian company. On the kitchenwares front side the actual environmental parameters as temperature, humidity, light intensity, CO2 concentration and CO2 filling level are shown but solely the light duration can be adjusted. Customers who are interested in playing around with different environmental conditions can vary them by installing an app. By that all measured data will also be stored in a cloud and data can be retrieved, re-used and shared at anytime. These climate recipes are a unique feature bringing out individual taste of the grown plants.
