In this specific case the company is looking for a small diameter sensor to measure liquid pressure, in an in-vivo healthcare situation. Diameter and accuracy within the lower, 0-40 mmHg, pressure range are priorities.



The likely specifications for this solution would include:

Diameter: needs to be ≤ 0.0213”Ø = 0,514 mm; desirable if it is ≤ 0.0121”Ø = 0,307 mm

Length:  < 0.250” = 6,3 mm

Pressure range: 0-40 mmHg = 33 mBar = 3333 Pas = 0,48PSI 	

Accuracy: ±1.0mmHg (or better) within 0-40mmHg pressure range

Frequency range DC .. 20 Hz.

Approval for use in the medical space is desirable.
