A French start-up has developed a socialization robotic unit for individuals. The company has built a first prototype. It is looking for an industrial partner expert in the fields of electronics and mechanics for technical cooperation and manufacturing agreements, in order to realize a first pre-serie and then the industrial manufacture of this robot.

Description

A French SME has developed a mobile socialization robotic unit for individuals.



The company has already realized a first prototype and tested it in real conditions.



Now it would like to identify a partner to carry out the complete industrialization of this robot as well as its packaging, the delivery logistics of the units produced and the maintenance of the defective units.



The partner must, according to the technical recommendations of the French company, carry out a pre-series of robots for the third quarter of 2017 and then the industrial production in series of the units during the last quarter of 2017.

Expertise sought

The company is looking for an industrial partner with the following activities (or able to oversee these different kinds of operations if it works with subcontractors) :



- Electronic design: an electronic design study could be necessary to optimize production costs



- Mechanical design: a mechanical design study may be necessary to optimize production costs



- Plastics: some parts can be made by an injection process with silicone molds for small series before switching to aluminum molds for the launch of mass production.



- Metallurgy: the quantities of material and the design of the metal parts used can be modified to optimize the production costs, the parts assembly and the maintenance operations.



- Sourcing / identification of suitable sensors and actuators



- Quality Control



- Standards: support for the necessary certifications such as the current NF and CE standards

Requested partner

The company is looking for an industrial partner working in the field of Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).



The partner sought must be able to perform the following tasks:

- To carry out  technical studies on various aspects related to the project (plastics, electronics, mechanics, etc ...)

- To perform a pre-serie of 20 robotized units based on  the prototype developed by the french firm (third quarter of 2017)

- To start industrial production of these units for the (last quarter of 2017).



This partnership will take the form of a manufacturing agreement with technical cooperation.
