A French company, that has developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based software that facilitates Horizon 2020 applications, wants to tie partnerships under a commercial agreement with technical assistance with selected experts and consultancies wishing to improve the quality of their services and the profitability of their practice.

The French company created in 2017, results from several European projects. It has developed an AI-based software that facilitates Horizon 2020 calls screening and project preparation.

This data-driven solution compares the applicant project with the calls for proposals, the 16 000 past EU funded projects and their 150 000 European partners and offers the following features.

1. Detection of relevant calls for proposals, without having a thorough knowledge of the objectives and structures of each call :
- Finding quickly the most relevant Horizon 2020 topics for a project
- Supporting the ideation of new projects as it provides project holders with an overview including state-of-the-art, past approved projects and future calls on specific thematics

2. Diagnosis of the chances of success through an assessment of the innovation level and the correspondence with the requirements of the targeted funding source :
- Diagnosis of the core innovation of the project compared to call expectations and best already-funded European projects
- The anticipation of the chances of success and the ability to iterate in order to improve the project

3. Designing innovative and coherent projects in line with the priorities of the calls for proposals :
- Reduced time and costs associated with project design
following a step-by-step method inspired by European best practices to design the project

4. Drafting of application forms :
- Reduced time costs associated with the proposal writing.
- Increased quality of the proposal writing thanks to the collaborative platform that makes the distribution of writing efforts between WP leaders smoother and an AI-assisted tool that helps users keep content aligned with the targeted topic.
- Automatic generation of application forms

This Software as a Service (SaaS) solution is fully operational and has already been validated by businesses (startups and large companies) and intermediary organizations (clusters, chambers of commerce, business associations, innovation agencies, etc.).

The company is now looking for commercial partners, H2020 proposal writers, that can be individual experts or consultancies in innovation management and/or technological domains covered by the Horizon 2020 programme (health/life sciences, energy, transport, materials, environment, food, marine sciences, social sciences, etc.) to extend its network of partners across Europe.

It offers to collaborate under a commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Advantages and Innovations

This solution provides the following benefits :

- time-saving:
o detecting and scoring relevant calls takes minutes,
o diagnosing the chances of success of the project takes about an hour
o designing the proposal takes 3 days
o drafting the application form takes 3 weeks (instead of 3 to 6 months)
o accessing easily to full range of useful information (already funded projects, documents and reports, ...)

- provides the possibility to iterate and improve the project based on a detailed pre-evaluation

- users gain a competitive advantage and better ROI as time gained from the screening and diagnosis phases can be used to enhance the project strategy and find relevant partners.
