Bulgarian research team is working in the field of automation of complex micro/nano manipulation processes. The new offered product presents a robotic system for in-vitro fertilization. The innovative aspect is that the procedures as cell injection and sperm tracking and holding could be realized automatically. The research organization is looking for commercial agreement with technical assistance with companies working in the field of medicine, in-vitro fertilization, cell manipulation.


The Bulgarian research organization working in the field of robotization of complex micro and nano manipulation procedures. The research team has a lot of experience with cell injection and sperm tracking. The researchers successfully combine the precise positioning and microfluidics in their work. The have a secret no how and more than 5 patents. The new product is a robotic system for in-vitro fertilization. The main advantage is that the offered product could automatically immobilize the oocyte, track and hold the sperm cell and finally inject the sperm cell into the cytoplasm of the oocyte. The commercially available systems for in-vitro fertilization are manually controlled by well trained embryologists using telemanipulation devices. The new robotic cystem has two micro-manipulators with resolution equal to 1 micrometer along XYZ axes, inverted microscope with an appropriate magnification system, specialized digital camera, micro-injection system and a suitable work station. The research team is developing a software application for control of the whole system through PC. The scientific organization is looking for in-vitro fertilization clinics, medical organization, hospitals interested in signing a commercial agreement with technical assistance.
